AI-assisted education

Stop studying more. Start learning for real.

Elisaber does what a great personal tutor would do: it learns what you already know, designs a program tailored to you and adjusts it based on what you actually learn.

The problem

Seeing isn’t learning. Rereading isn’t remembering.

Education reaches more people than ever, but it doesn’t always turn into learning: many students spend years in classrooms without mastering what they are taught. Elisaber exists to close that gap.

How it works

A personal tutor for every student.

Thanks to artificial intelligence, we can do for every student what a great personal tutor would do.

  1. 01

    We get to know you

Before teaching, we assess your real level in the subject and understand your context: how much time you have, what you want to achieve, by when, and what motivates you.

  2. 02

    We design your program

With that information we build a path tailored to you, starting from what you already know and adapting to your pace and goals.

  3. 03

We track your progress and adjust

We constantly measure what you actually learned, not just what you saw, and change the program when something isn’t working.

The science

Every hour of study goes further.

We didn’t invent the method: we apply what learning science has shown to work, and technology takes care of tailoring it to you.

  • Retrieval practice

Recalling what you learned from memory makes it stick far better than reading it again.

Roediger & Karpicke, Psychological Science (2006)

  • Spaced review

Reviewing at growing intervals, right before you forget, keeps learning for the long term.

Cepeda et al., Psychological Bulletin (2006)

  • Interleaved practice

Mixing different kinds of exercises teaches you to choose the right strategy, not just repeat it.

Rohrer & Taylor, Instructional Science (2007)

  • Immediate feedback

Knowing right away what you got right and what to fix is one of the strongest drivers of learning.

Hattie & Timperley, Review of Educational Research (2007)

✎By the way: highlighting and rereading are among the least effective study techniques, according to a broad review of the research (Dunlosky et al., 2013). Here the highlighter is just decoration.

The idea

In 1984, educational psychologist Benjamin Bloom found that the average student with a personal tutor performed better than 98% of students in a conventional classroom.
Bloom, “The 2 Sigma Problem”, Educational Researcher (1984)

The problem was never knowing what works, but that a personal tutor for every student was impossible to offer to everyone. Artificial intelligence finally makes it possible. That’s why Elisaber exists.

Who it’s for

We start with people who learn on their own.

  • First

    Self-directed learners

For people who want to learn on their own, from home, with guidance that adapts to what each person knows and needs.

  • Later

    Teachers

Elisaber will exercise, assess and track each student; teachers will keep control of their course and gain time to teach.

  • Later

    Educational institutions

The platform will handle what can be automated and give teachers clear information to step in early when someone falls behind.

FAQ

What people usually ask.

How is it different from an online course or watching videos?

A course is the same for everyone and usually measures what you saw. Elisaber starts by assessing what you already know, designs a program for you and measures what you actually learn to adjust it as you go.

What is the artificial intelligence for?

To do at scale what a good personal tutor would do: get to know you, adapt the path to your pace and goals, and give you practice and feedback at the right moment.
